Supported by the Newell Family Foundation, the TN Summer Academy is an intensive theatre program for passionate young artists who are serious about performance and creation. Hosted by Theatre Network at the Roxy Theatre, this unique opportunity allows emerging theatre artists to come together to create, rehearse, and perform a brand-new play for a live audience.

Over the duration of the camp, participants will:

  • Develop and rehearse an original play
  • Build performance and ensemble skills
  • Learn about theatre creation and style
  • Take part in workshops with professional mentors
  • Collaborate with like-minded peers

The program culminates in a run of public performances at The Roxy Theatre.

Two things stood out to me the most while participating in the Theatre Network Summer Academy. The first being the detailed step by step process of creating our play. It gave me an opportunity to really experience and participate in what its like the create a show. Secondly I loved working with everyone, meaning: the cast, Ellen, all our other instructors and all the people who came in to teach us something…
