John Wright: Celebration of Life

Please join us to honour the life of John Wright, a beloved actor, artist, and mentor whose contributions to Canadian theatre spanned decades. The celebration will take place at The Roxy Theatre in Edmonton, inside the Nancy Power Theatre, with overflow seating and live streaming available due to anticipated high attendance. Please RSVP to the event to help us anticipate the number of guests.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support Marianne and John’s legacy.

John’s remarkable career included iconic roles at Citadel Theatre, Phoenix Theatre, Freewill Shakespeare Festival, Theatre Network, and many others. He was a true artist—whether on stage, in his garden, or through his woodworking and photography. His generous spirit, wit, and creativity left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
