Carolyn Campbell received her Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from the University of Alberta in 2004. In 2009 she was a finalist in the Kingston Art Council’s National Portrait Competition. Her work is held in the collections of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the University of Alberta, and numerous corporate and private collections across Canada. Carolyn was a sessional instructor in painting and design at the University of Alberta, and she has been a guest speaker and visiting artist at the Banff Centre, and the University of British Columbia, Okanagan. She is President and CEO of NorQuest College, and a member of the Harcourt House Artist Run Centre. Carolyn is working on a doctorate at the University of Oxford on the board governance of major arts museums, as relates to the repatriation of cultural material. Carolyn has received numerous academic awards and scholarships and was recently awarded the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal.
