!”
– Laura Kate

Presented at the 2023 and 2024 Edmonton Fringe, the spoken-word rhapsody Unkl Stiv’s Looping Machine is here again to repeat and reiterate
that half-remembered dream of The Half-Earth told in a voice that is
half dog, half butterfly, half ape, half banana cream pie, half half-and-half, and half this guy
a Half-Moon bedtime story for You,..
for You there are
no other types of stories:
no other types of once upon a time
(pik’cherz by BigAl)

Featuring Steve Pirot as The Looping Machine with indivisible support from Alysson McKee.

She also is a very good dog, also, and also she is also the resident illustrator of The Empire Of Sand. Also as well as also she also has a brain the size of a planet, but nowhere to keep it. While she oft be heard kicking ass at oil can open mics in town, she has also dabbled in the legitimate theatre with Skirts A Fire, FoundFest, Nextfest, and PepperMUNT Cabaret. Theatre Network’s mainstage is our bread and butter, the core of what we do, representing the productions that we create and present ourselves from season to season. This series features the best of professional contemporary theatre with a focus on artists, playwrights and stories from western Canada. In this series you can count on work that is challenging, engaging, entertaining, and unafraid to question our conceptions of the world we live in. Our continuing commitment is towards risk. Not all of our work is controversial, but we have chosen to welcome controversy, rather than fear it.
