Twentieth Century Jig

An ambitious boy climbs to the top of his chosen profession – showbiz – before the structures of his life come tumbling down around his ears. He retreats to the isolation of a forestry tower in the Rocky Mountains, but finds his lonely hermitage destroyed by five pesky characters, figments of his imagination, who plague him, nag him, amuse him and finally help him resolve his disillusionment with contemporary life.

Playwrights: Dennis Robinson, Andras Tahn and E.H. Carefoot

“In grand Albertan tradition the show was conceived on August 1st, went into creation August 2 and rehearsals began September 6. The play is scheduled to open October 24… Theatre Network is gambling on the talents of Robinson, Tahn and Carefoot, three uncompromising mavericks in Canadian Theatre.” – 1980 Press Release
