On the 50th anniversary of the decriminalization of homosexuality in Canada, Darrin Hagen premieres a new play about the life of drag queen / activist ted northe, also known as the Empress of Canada. Mr. northe’s activism draws a young Minister of Justice, Pierre Trudeau to his side, and the two form a remarkable connection that changed Canada.
