Roxy Theatre, Edmonton. From the Sterling Award winning team that brought you SUBURBIA and SHAKESPEARE’S R&J, comes their most ambitious project to date, Diana Son’s Off-Broadway smash, Stop Kiss. Meet Sara and Callie, two twenty-something women who meet by chance and form a fast friendship that leads to an unexpected attraction forcing them to question themselves and their sexuality. Stop Kiss is a poignant and funny play about the ways, both sudden and slow, that lives can change irrevocably. MICHELE BROWN

Michele is an actor and a musician and was most recently seen at La Vie En Fringe in THE ADVENTURES OF WANDA AND JACK, an alt-country musical she co-wrote with Paul Morgan Donald. Prior to that she participated as an actor at the Magnetic North Festival. This spring she played Ruth in Shadow Theatre’s production of LATER LIFE. She was also a member of Workshop West’s Springboards Festival company and last summer she played Hecuba in THE TROJAN WOMEN at the Attack of the Killer Fringe for which she received her third Sterling nomination. Michele received a Sterling Award for her work in Kenneth Brown’s adaptation of THE OLD CURIOSITY SHOP and was also a Member of the Sterling Award winning company of Kill Your Television’s production of STOP KISS.

KEVIN COREY

This is Kevin’s second show at Theatre Network. The first being THE BLACK RIDER. He has had the pleasure of sharing the stage numerous times with Chris including TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA, A WINTER’S TALE, ROMEO AND JULIET, & TWELFTH NIGHT (River City Shakespeare Festival), BIRDBRAIN, A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Citadel Theatre). He has been on stage with Maralyn Ryan in HAMLET and A CHRISTMAS CAROL ( Citadel Theatre). He has worked with Cheryl on SPARE THE ROD (Keyano Theatre), THE BLUE ORPHAN (Catalyst Theatre). And he has been directed by Marianne in LOVE’S LABOR’S LOST & THE MERCHANT OF VENICE (River City Shakespeare Festival). He will be performing later this season in A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Citadel Theatre), and COMRADES with Kill Your Television Theatre. As well as touring THE BLACK RIDER to Vancouver in January.

NATHAN CUCKOW

Nathan is an Edmonton-based actor, producer, and playwright. He has worked with several local companies, including: Shadow Theatre, The Freewill Shakespeare Festival, Teatro La Quindicina, Northern Light Theatre, Concrete Theatre, Azimuth Theatre, and was most recently seen in Wishbone Theatre’s independent production of WAITING FOR GODOT. His work has been presented in Edmonton, as well as several other Canadian cities, including: Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Whitehorse, Victoria, and Vancouver (as part of the 2010 Cultural Olympiad). His musical, BASH’d! (co-written with Chris Craddock, music by Aaron Macri) was presented internationally in Dublin, Ireland, and in the United States (Los Angeles and New York City), where it ran for three months Off-Broadway, and received a 2007 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding New York Theatre. Nathan is the proud recipient of several awards, including an Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in Kill Your Television’s production of Daniel MacIvor’s one-man show, MONSTER.

BETH GRAHAM

Beth is an Edmonton-based playwright, actor and guardian to a pomeranian cross named Oscar. Beth wrote THE GRAVITATIONAL PULL OF BERNICE TRIMBLE as part of the 2010 playwright’s forum at the Citadel Theatre. The play premiered at Factory Theatre (co-produced with Obsidian Theatre) last fall and will be published by Playwrights Canada Press in the Spring of 2015. Beth is also one of the co-creators of THE DROWNING GIRLS, which premiered at the Edmonton Fringe Festival, was re-written for the 2008 Alberta Theatre Projects PlayRites Festival and went on to tour nationally. Other co-creations include: MULES, COMRADES, and VICTOR AND VICTORIA’S TERRIFYING TALE OF TERRIBLE THINGS. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA acting program.

CAROLINE LIVINGSTONE

Caroline’s favourite credits include A DYBBUK FOR TWO, HOUSE OF SACRED COWS (Northern Light Theatre), STOP KISS (Kill Your Television), MARION BRIDGE, EXCAVATIONS, MOM DAD I’M LIVING WITH A WHITE GIRL (Theatre Network), CRUEL TEARS , COSI, WIZARD OF OZ (Globe Theatre), MAMA MIA! ME A MAMA? (Big Mama Productions) and ELEKTRA, THE ABUNDANCE TRILOGY,SONGS FOR SINNERS (Catalyst Theatre) ROUGH CROSSING (Theatre Calgary ). When Caroline is not acting she directs, most recently voice overs for Jade Empire a game produced and created by BioWare, an Edmonton based video game company . Enjoy the show

SHAUNA MURPHY

Shauna’s first Theatre Network show as Stage Manager was Marty Chan’s, Mom, Dad I’m living with a White Girl, and she is happy to be back working with the lovely people at Network. She gained her appreciation of theatre via the Theatre Arts program at the University of Lethbridge. After graduating in 1994, Shauna returned home to Edmonton and began work in the community as both a Stage Manager and a technician.  Since then, she is privileged to have worked with the Edmonton International Fringe Festival, St. Albert International Children’s Festival, Workshop West, Northern Light Theatre, Rapid Fire Theatre, Catalyst Theatre, Kill Your Television, Guys in Disguise, Firefly Theatre, Azimuth Theatre, and on many delightful co-ops.  Shauna is also a member of both Equity and IATSE local 210.  Thanks to Chris and Brad, and special thanks to her daughter Sydney for all of the support throughout her career…Enjoy.
