Kicker

Kicker concerns life in the MacKenzie Delta. The members of Theatre Network moved to Inuvik with director David Barnet and playwright Gordon Pengilly. For seven weeks their ideas of life in the north have been challenged.  Their discoveries have often been disturbing but provide valuable insight into a world which we, in southern Canada, know little about. Kicker invites audiences to share some unique and unexpected experiences about Canada’s Arctic.

“In the true spirit of collective creation, every company member has contributed equally to the development of characters and story.  However, without the co-operation and generosity of the residents of Inuvik and the MacKenzie Delta who provided the company with inspiration and material, Kicker would not have become a reality.” – Director’s Note
