Jabulani 2025: One Too Many, A Thousand

One Too Many, A Thousand is a community-based theatre performance that explores the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ immigrants and people of color in Edmonton. Rooted in collective storytelling, it examines themes of displacement, resilience, identity, and belonging. As a culmination of research and artistic exploration, the performance serves as both a creative inquiry and a platform for amplifying narratives that are often marginalized and underrepresented. By bringing real voices and lived realities to the stage, One Too Many, A Thousand creates an immersive, thought-provoking experience – inviting audiences to witness, reflect, and engage in dialogue on identity, migration, and the ongoing fight for visibility and justice.
