Theatre Network’s Board of Directors is seeking enthusiastic members of our community to participate on the following volunteer committees during our next season. Each group works under the guidance of its Committee Chair, and all committee participants will receive the undying gratitude of Theatre Network’s staff and Board for helping us expand our horizons! Anyone interested in any of the following committees is invited to send inquiries to General Manager, Fawnda Mithrush, at

Business Development & Outreach

This Committee focuses on development of community and business partnerships to grow Network’s base of support. In the 2013/14 season, the Committee will develop a Sponsorship Package for new and potential business partners, and will participate in shaping audience development strategies and marketing campaigns as the company moves into its 40th anniversary season in 2014/15. Members of this committee will have experience and knowledge of the business and/or philanthropic communities in Edmonton, and may be able to advise on strategies for enhancing Network’s profile in the city.

The support of generous individuals is important for any non-profit entity, and nowhere is it more challenging and rewarding than in grassroots, hands-dirtied, face-to-face arts fundraising. Members of this Committee will help build capacity for Theatre Network by developing a range of ongoing fundraising strategies: From donation campaigns to subscriber incentives to idea-generation for fundraising projects, this Committee’s members will be creative, driven, and passionate for increasing private support for the Theatre on an ongoing basis.

Special Events/Projects

An ad hoc Committee working in conjunction with Fundraising, this group will convene when Network needs an extra team to ensure the success of an upcoming Special Event. Be it our Spring Fling Gala, a donor or volunteer appreciation evening, or an exclusive post-show VIP party, this committee will help hammer out the most important details of our auxiliary events and special projects.

The Roxy needs a lot of love, and this group meets on an ad hoc basis to see that she gets all of the care and attention that she deserves. Upcoming projects include facility upgrades to the façade, front windows, lobby, bathroom and basement areas—plus seeing to the Wish List of technical additions needed to replace some of our well-used theatre equipment. Members of this committee will help with planning and implementation of facility-related projects, and the group is best served with participants that have connection to the building, trades and/or architectural industries. Heck, if you can pick up a paintbrush, we’re sure they’d find something for you to do.
