Help us bring the new Roxy to life

On January 13, 2015 Theatre Network lost their home of The Roxy Theatre – which left a hole in the arts community and on 124 Street in Edmonton.

Now, Theatre Network is working to bring a New Roxy Theatre back where it belongs.

We need your generosity to Rebuild the Roxy Theatre. With your financial support the New Roxy will rise from the ashes!

Mostly Water

The funniest thing I saw this year.

Edmonton Sun

Back for another season as part of the Roxy Performance Series, Mostly Water is thrilled to re-present 15 Minutes, their 5-Star hit from the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival.
Mostly Water treads the boards and is joined by a talented group of local performers (Dana Andersen, Peter Brown, Dave Clarke, Chris Craddock, Jeff Haslam, Mark Meer, Davina Stewart, Dale and Syrell Wilson) who make cameo video appearances to tell the story of Efren Askew, a brilliant writer who can only create in an alcohol-induced trance. As Askew’s celebrity grows and Hollywood begins to devour him, he comes face to face with the fleeting nature of fame. This hour-long play with sketch-like elements is a hilarious meditation on one man’s 15 Minutes of fame.
In addition to the one-act, MW is joined on stage by CBC Radio’s Peter Brown for a few preliminary sketches, rounding out a full evening of entertainment. Also present will be several animal mounts, generously donated by the Royal Alberta Museum. Live theatre and taxidermy, together at last!
