Help us bring the new Roxy to life

On January 13, 2015 Theatre Network lost their home of The Roxy Theatre – which left a hole in the arts community and on 124 Street in Edmonton.

Now, Theatre Network is working to bring a New Roxy Theatre back where it belongs.

We need your generosity to Rebuild the Roxy Theatre. With your financial support the New Roxy will rise from the ashes!

Hello Hello – A Romantic Satire

Exquisitely crafted … seamlessly stylish and intellectually provocative.

Globe and Mail

Edmonton’s critically acclaimed, multi-Sterling Award winning theatre company, Kill Your Television presents the Western Canadian premiere of Karen Hines play with songs, HELLO HELLO – a romantic satire.

In a vast, unnamed megalopolis, art and commerce have finally and completely conjoined and everyone is falling for an edgy new fashion accessory: a shiny ball filled with poison that hangs from a delicate chain.

One night at the gravesite of the last true artist on earth, Cassandra, a salesgirl with a prophetic gift, meets Ben, a charismatic advertising exec. A walk home leads to a dinner date, which leads to sex, marriage and a house in Semi-Residentia. Then comes the baby… all one and a half inches of her!

Created by the Governor General nominated, award winning, actress/playwright, Karen Hines, Hello…Hello – a romantic satire is a hilariously painful examination of our contemporary consumer culture, and a tragically ironic deconstruction of the Broadway-style musical love story.

Presented by Kill Your Television. Winner of the Outstanding Independent Production Sterling Award 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006.
