Free-man on the Land: Video

Originally presented in 2011 in a much smaller and intimate space, this new production of FMOTL has been tailored to fit The Roxy Theatre. The Roxy Theatre was build to be a cinema, so the video projection design by local artist Matt Schuurman has literally doubled in size. Furthermore, the capability for rear projection has allowed for a greater realization of video as a design tool to communicate the numerous settings that occur in the telling of the story. FMOTL is Matt’s second project with Azimuth Theatre, but he has also provided video projection design for Theatre Network, Northern Light Theatre, Catch The Keys Productions, Send In The Girls, and Catalyst Theatre. He is also one of Rapid Fire Theatre’s senior improvisers and a teacher at The Foote Theatre School.
