Adopt an Artist 2016

May 20, 2016

Nextfest is the largest festival of its kind in Canada, every year Nextfest draws over 600 talented young artists for 11-days dedicated to the creation and presentation of art. The multidisciplinary festival, running June 2-12 this year, provides emerging artists the opportunity to showcase their work with audiences. Many well-established artists from Edmonton—like Chris Craddock, Ainsley Hillyard & The Good Women Dance Collective, Nuela Charles, and Beth Graham—were able to use Nextfest as a stepping-stone in their professional arts careers. Nextfest takes pride in the development of our local artists and providing Edmonton audiences with the newest artistic voices.
You can support Nextfest’s artists by participating in the Adopt-an-Artist program. At $100 per adoption, the program assures that the emerging artists who participate in Nextfest 2016 get a first-rate experience in the professional arts world and are remunerated for their work. With every $100 adoption, you can select a specific artist or artist in any discipline to “adopt”. Your name along with the artist you adopt will be on display at The Roxy on Gateway during the run of the festival. All adopters will also receive a charitable receipt for the full amount donated from Theatre Network, a Nextfest t-shirt and all-access pass to the festival.
