Earlier this year, Ronnie Burkett received the highest honour a Canadian artist can receive, the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement. This well-deserved recognition acknowledges his innovative and heartfelt work to bring new stories to life through puppetry.
Theatre Network is proud to have been a small part of Ronnie Burkett’s journey, and prouder still to be considered one of the places that he fondly refers to as a “home base.” We have had the distinct privilege to present seven of his productions over more than thirty years.
